Production Design

I am a lover of stories and storytelling. Stories are integral to how we pass on lessons, explore new ideas, and give ourselves temporary escape from the things in life that wear us down. Whether fantastical or mundane, a story cannot come to life unless told to another. So I want to share my stories and those of others…the happy, the heartbreaking, the life changing, the real, the imagined, and everything in between.

Production Design offers the opportunity to build the world in which a story happens. As a designer, my job is to dig deeper and enrich a narrative. In addition, designing allows me to interact with others equally passionate in their craft, each with unique stories of their own, as we can combine our experiences to create something new.

Production Design also advances my love of learning. Lifelong experiences in Alaska, California, and Texas involving the arts have led me toward production designing. Not only does the job call for proficiency in design, architecture, and textile, it also calls me to be a historian, science advocate, behavioral analysis, and philosopher.

My ultimate creative goal is for the audience to leave our story with something positive…an uplifting feeling or a powerful message. Whatever the end result I want you, the viewer, to go with me on a marvelous adventure and genuinely enjoy the ride.
